More Mozes, Google Problem Update and other Tidbits

Date: Aug 15, 2006

As you may of seen previously with my Giants alert, Mozes has a mobile subscription service, kinda like RSS or a pushed mobile blog. So I've setup another mini-service, testing their developer API with their subscription. I call the new service Bigg Digg, which polls the digg rss feed and sends out top story headlines to your cell. Try it out.

An update on the Google Billboard Math Problem which I solved over two years ago, a recruiter from Google just got back to me. So leads me to guess that it was more a publicity stunt then any actual recruiting tool.

Plus a couple of cool developer tools:

  • Fire Bug - another Firefox web developer tool to help analyze what the hell is going on in a web page.
  • Google Webmaster Tools - a great set of tools to see how your site is indexed, searched, keyword ranks and more
  • Selenium Testing Framework - I'm looking into using this to do some automated testing, looks pretty interesting a testing framework built into Firefox.
  • More on Haystack - Martin Green, SVP at CNET, posted more info about the Haystack storage solution which powers WebShots. It is the project I worked on when I was at CNET.
