About Marcus Kazmierczak (mkaz.com)
I work at Maya's Mom as VP of Engineering where we have built the premiere online social network for parents. I lead the technology team providing innovative solutions, developing new features and expanding the community. I think my real title is Chief Problem Solver, technology to paper towels; though I think that is everyone's role at a start-up.
Previously I worked at CNET Networks as a consultant on the Haystack storage project, which was a massive storage solution for the Webshots photo sharing site, plus the new AllYouCanUpload service.
Prior to that I worked at E*TRADE Financial for 7 years in various roles, which probably could be summed up as Creative Solution Provider. I worked in the Architecture group and worked on problems such as site scalability and performance, converting the data center to Linux platform and internal systems and just about anything else that needed to be done.
My full resume, which is probably out of date, or you can see my LinkedIn profile, the resume of the future.
Some times I create art, mainly photography but lately not much of anything. Unfortunately my technology and managing skills are desired a lot more than my photography skills, which I'm not sure if that's a compliment to my business abilities or an insult to my creative ones. Or society is just skewed.

Copyright and other Legal Mumbo-Jumbo
I try to give credit where credit is due and expect the same. Our lawyer driven society exerts pressure for creators to put out formal statements like the following. So I include this to look all official and just in case.
